Tier Verdict · Didn't Land

This powder hasn't impressed us in the Ninja Creami so far. Texture or flavor didn't quite land in the frozen base — but it may still be great in a shake or other uses.

The Review

There is a certain level of excitement that comes with seeing that iconic blue-and-white logo on a tub of protein, and Ghost certainly knows how to market to our inner child. However, after putting their Oreo collaboration through the rigorous Pint Lab testing process, the "lifestyle" hype feels a bit thin. The immediate disappointment lies in the very thing that makes this powder famous: the cookie pieces. Once the Creami blade does its work, those real Oreo bits are pulverized into microscopic specks that contribute zero crunch and, surprisingly, very little flavor. You’re left with a base that looks like cookies and cream but tastes like a missed opportunity.

The flavor profile itself struggles to survive the deep freeze. What should be a rich, cocoa-heavy creaminess instead becomes muted and strangely hollow. Even worse is the lingering artificial sweetness that coats the tongue—a common ghost in the machine with this brand—which leaves a distinct, chemical aftertaste that only intensifies as the pint begins to melt. I even tried to rescue the experience by adding a few Oreo Thins during the mix-in cycle, but even that couldn't mask the fact that the underlying base is medicinal rather than indulgent. In a market where other brands are nailing the "cream" part of the equation, this one feels like it’s relying entirely on the name on the label.
