The Review
I’ll be real - I was majorly side-eyeing this during the prep. Taking a "clear" protein—the stuff you normally chug with water—and throwing it into my standard milky recipe felt like a disaster waiting to happen. I kept wondering what the heck the taste would even be like, but I stuck to the script and used the same base as any other test. I was so pleasantly surprised to find that it wasn’t just "fine," it was actually unique and delightful.
The flavor is a massive win if you’re into blue raspberry like I am. It’s got that electric, clean fruitiness you’d expect, but the real kicker is the hit of sourness. It gives the pint a distinctly different taste than any other powder I’ve tried—it doesn't even taste like the other fruit-based wheys. Instead, you get a sharp, bright tang that makes it taste exactly like a premium grocery store sherbet.
Texture-wise, it’s not quite as dense or "creamy" as a heavy whey, but it spun up silky smooth with absolutely zero grit. It’s light, refreshing, and has me thinking about mixing a few different flavors together to create a killer sherbet bowl. I went into this a total skeptic, but it’s a fun, solid option for when you want something that doesn't taste like a protein shake.
