A strong performer in the Ninja Creami. Solid texture and flavor with good macros — a reliable choice for your rotation. Worth buying.
The Review
This RYSE Chocolate Cookie Blast protein powder delivered a notably smooth and enjoyable ice cream experience in the Ninja Creami. The flavor profile differentiated itself from typical chocolate protein powders by offering a clean and discernible cookie taste, moving beyond a simple "chocolate frosty" taste which usually comes through from other brands.
From a texture standpoint, the pint was extremely smooth and completely devoid of ice directly after the initial spin. While a re-spin was performed to scrape down the sides and ensure consistency, it was not functionally necessary for texture improvement. The re-spin did, however, introduce more air, resulting in a lighter and fluffier consistency, which can be opted for or skipped depending on preference for a denser ice cream.
My kids loved it! (Ratings from them were 7, 8, and 9 on flavor and a 10 on texture!). The only reason I myself would not buy again is the artificial sweetener, I'm marking the Re-buy score as a "yes" for the flavor and texture alone.

Whey Blend in the Creami
Whey blends combine multiple protein sources — often isolate and concentrate — to balance cost and performance. Results in the Creami depend heavily on the specific blend ratio and any added ingredients. Most whey blends perform well, though consistency can vary.

About This Brand
RYSE — #4 Brand · 7.3 avg
Ryse is a standout performer in the Ninja Creami largely due to its specific protein blend, which features Micellar Casein alongside Whey Isolate. While some whey powders results in an icy or flaky texture that requires multiple "re-spins," the slow-digesting casein in Ryse acts as a natural emulsifier, yielding a dense, gelato-like consistency right out of the gate. This structural advantage means you rarely need to add extra fat or pudding mixes to achieve a professional "scoopable" mouthfeel. However, because the freezing process tends to dull flavor perception, Ryse’s aggressive flavoring system works in its favor here; the bold, licensed profiles—like MoonPie or Skippy—remain vibrant and distinct even at sub-zero temperatures, whereas more subtle brands might end up tasting bland. This can backfire at times though - Cinnamon Toast is a good example. Overall, strong solid brand for those who do not mind artificial sweeteners.
