Tier Verdict · Didn't Land

This powder hasn't impressed us in the Ninja Creami so far. Texture or flavor didn't quite land in the frozen base — but it may still be great in a shake or other uses.

The Review

This Ryse Cinnamon Toast flavor is a hard pass for me. The artificial sweeteners are front and center, creating a chemical aftertaste that completely overpowers the Creami base. While the cinnamon cereal flavor is strong, it leans heavily into that artificial profile, making it tough to finish even a small serving. Definitely not a bag-finisher; I wouldn't recommend buying this one.

Worth Exploring

Ryse is a standout performer in the Ninja Creami largely due to its specific protein blend, which features Micellar Casein alongside Whey Isolate. While some whey powders results in an icy or flaky texture that requires multiple "re-spins," the slow-digesting casein in Ryse acts as a natural emulsifier, yielding a dense, gelato-like consistency right out of the gate. This structural advantage means you rarely need to add extra fat or pudding mixes to achieve a professional "scoopable" mouthfeel. However, because the freezing process tends to dull flavor perception, Ryse’s aggressive flavoring system works in its favor here; the bold, licensed profiles—like MoonPie or Skippy—remain vibrant and distinct even at sub-zero temperatures, whereas more subtle brands might end up tasting bland. This can backfire at times though - Cinnamon Toast is a good example. Overall, strong solid brand for those who do not mind artificial sweeteners.
