A strong performer in the Ninja Creami. Solid texture and flavor with good macros — a reliable choice for your rotation. Worth buying.

The Review

Transparent Labs Oatmeal Chocolate Chip protein powder delivers a notably smooth texture when prepared in the Ninja Creami, which is not always common with isolate-based powders. While an initial re-spin was necessary to achieve the desired creamy consistency, the final result was spot on, avoiding any grittiness or iciness. The flavor is clean and distinct, though it tends to emphasize the spice elements, reminiscent of cinnamon or nutmeg, more than a prominent oatmeal taste. The chocolate chip component is present but subtle, contributing to the overall pint experience without dominating.

Overall, satisfying. Flavor is just okay and doesn’t come through the way I want it to for ice cream.

Whey Isolate

Why Whey Isolate Works Well in the Creami

Whey isolate is highly processed to remove most fat and lactose, resulting in a very clean protein with minimal interference in the Creami. It typically spins smooth with fewer icy patches than concentrates, making it one of the most reliable choices for protein ice cream.

Protein type is one of the biggest factors in Creami texture. See how different proteins compare.
